When it comes to website maintenance MACBOYdesigns can offer plenty of options.

1. You can let us do all the maintenance and updates for you. For most people this is the simplest and most cost efficient option. We charge an hourly rate of £40.00 and most simple updates take only an hour to do (We charge an minimum of 1 hour for all changes). When the content on your website needs to be updated then simply email us the changes you wish to make and leave the rest to us. When you site has been update we will email you back and let you know.

 

2. If your site was designed by MACBOYdesigns using a Content Management System (CMS) such as Joomla then it may be possible for you to make your own changes. CMS's are driven by a central database on your hosts server. To update such sites you do not any knowledge of HTML, PHP or CSS. (MySQL/PHP are needed to run CMS sites - If you are not using a host recommended by MACBOYdesigns then please check).

 

3. You can also update the site using a WYSIWYG editor such as Adobe Dreamweaver. You would of course have to purchase the application to allow you to do this (Please note that there are many WYSIWYG applications. Commercial and Freeware applications are available for most platforms). MACBOYdesigns would only recommend this option to people who have a good knowledge of HTML and FTP.
